HUNGARIAN INNOVATION & HIGH-TECH INVESTMENT FORUM!!!!!!!


On Friday, June 21st, 2013 from 9:00am The Consulate General of Hungary in Los Angeles, The Honorary Consulate General of Hungary in San Francisco & the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency in Los Angeles held the Hungarian Innovation & High-Tech Investment Forum at the Atrium Conference Center in San Mateo, CA.


Hungary has a vibrant SME sector and a strong start-up scene. It is a hub in Central Europe for high technology companies, both large and small. The National Innovation Office providing support for innovation and entrepreneurship in communications technology and energy are embarking on this presentation to introduce Hungarian high-tech capabilities to potential investors and R&D partners in the USA. Hungarian companies, R&D firms in the field of information technology, electronics, software development, and life sciences sectors will join the governmental delegation, and present at the Forum.

The main purpose of the delegation is to strengthen the cooperation in research, development and innovation between Hungary, Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area, to find partners for joint research and commercialization and to attract high-tech investors to participate in the new Hungarian Technological Accelerator Program, planned to be launched in the summer.


The welcome and introductions by Tamas Kovacs of Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency in Los Angeles, Eva Voisin, Esq., Honorary Consulate General of Hungary in San Francisco, and Rosanne S. Foust, CEO, SAMCEDA.


Dr. Zoltán Cséfalvay, Deputy Minister Hungarian Ministry for National Economy speaks at Hungarian Innovation, High-Tech & Investment Forum.



Dr. László Korányi, President of the Hungarian National Innovation Office talks Hungarian innovation.



Dr. Zoltán Horváth, ELTE University, Dean,  Faculty of ICT talks about what Hungary is doing to educate in technological fields.
