Former EA colleagues and now co-founders Kenny Huang (CEO) and Tim Harris (CTO) of BlueBat decided they’d build an engine first, when they founded in BlueBatGames in 2011 in Vancouver, BC . It’s not been a straight flight-path getting to this point, but with finely tuned bat-like sonar they’re hitting a real sweet spot in the gaming business.

In the last two years there has been increasing industry amount of focus on the midcore market, spurred by hits like Funzio's Modern War and Supercell's Clash of Clans. Midcore is a name associated almost entirely with a male audience. Everyone from indies up to heavyweights like Zynga are jumping.
