Cleverbug is an app that allows you to send printed, personalized birthday cards straight from your mobile device. It connects with Facebook to automatically create a unique store of cards for each of your friends, personalizes each design with their Facebook photos, and allows you to mail your chosen card anywhere in the world. In November 2012 Cleverbug was named Best Digital Startup at the Eircom Spiders awards in Ireland.
Cleverbug is currently available as an app for the iPhone and iPad.
Cleverbug’s aim is to actively disrupt the $27 billion greeting card industry by leveraging Facebook’s open graph data and our own print expertise to create pre-personalized, printed birthday cards. By offering each user a unique store of cards that can be sent from their mobile phone, Cleverbug taps into three current shifts in the technology industry: the move to mobile, the re-focusing of online offerings around people rather than content, and the desire to connect the online and offline worlds.
